About Fostering Fun

Founded in 2021 by the compassionate visionary Max Feinberg, Fostering Fun is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing joy and a sense of normalcy to the lives of children in foster care. The organization's mission centers around providing these children with the holiday "essentials" they may otherwise miss out on, ensuring they experience the magic of celebrations throughout the year. Max's mission at Fostering Fun is to create a supportive community and a sense of belonging for these children, recognizing the importance of positive childhood memories in shaping their future.

Fostering Fun's commitment to fostering happiness is exemplified through its carefully planned year-round celebrations. Recognizing that children in foster care may often miss out on traditional family experiences, the organization has strategically designed programs to coincide with various holidays and breaks, ensuring that no special moment goes unnoticed. Each year, founder, Max Feinberg, chooses different holidays to focus on. Since 2021, these have been some of Max's favorites:

• New Year's Extravaganza: Each year Fostering Fun launches its New Year's Extravaganza. Carefully curated treats, party favors, and festive decorations are packaged into vibrant gift bags and delivered to children in foster care across the community.
• Winter Break Wonders: Acknowledging the significance of the winter break, Fostering Fun spreads warmth and joy during the colder months. Special surprises, including winter-themed gifts, cozy blankets, and hot cocoa kits, are shared with children in foster care. These thoughtful gestures not only combat the chill in the air but also foster a sense of comfort and security during the holiday season.
• Valentine's Day: Fostering Fun uses this holiday to remind children in Foster Care that they are cherished. Heartfelt cards, sweet treats, and small tokens of affection are distributed, instilling love in each child.
• Spring Break Adventures: As spring arrives Fostering Fun ensures that the children experience the beauty of the season. Adventure-filled surprises, such as outdoor activity kits, nature exploration guides, and gardening kits, are provided to all kids. 
• Summer Fun: In the past, Max Feinberg has worked to gift hundreds of kids with beach toys, outdoor games, and summer-themed treats, fostering a sense of freedom and joy during the warmer months.
• Back to School Boost: Recognizing the challenges of transitioning back to the school routine, Fostering Fun provides a Back to School Boost to set the children up for success. Backpacks  filled with school supplies, encouraging notes, and educational resources are distributed, ensuring that each child is equipped and motivated to embrace the new academic year.
• Halloween Treats, Not Tricks: For Halloween, Max Feinberg works each year to provide hundreds of foster kids with costume packages and spooky treats so they can enjoy the excitement of this festive occasion.
• Fall Break Fun: Cozy blankets, pumpkin carving kits, and seasonal surprises are delivered bringing smiles to kids when they are away from school.
• Thanksgiving Gratitude:  Max Feinberg and Fostering Fun take the opportunity of Thanksgiving to express gratitude and appreciation to the children in foster care. Carefully curated Thanksgiving packages, complete with games and crafts are sent to kids each year. 
• Holiday Hoopla: Each year Max Feinberg and the Fostering Fun team deck the Foster Care system with joy.  As the year comes full circle, Fostering Fun culminates its efforts and provides extravagent gifts to hundreds of kids. Max works to create a magical atmosphere for the children.  Fostering Fun goes the extra mile to ensure that each child experiences the excitement of the holidays, with handpicked gifts and handwritten cards.
